Emirates Post Group, EPG, on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, said that it will make available to the public a series of preventive tests, from 14th to 23rd, November.
Organized at EPG head office in cooperation with UAE healthcare providers for both employees and auditors, the campaign includes awareness of chronic diseases risks and the ability to have a diabetes test, blood pressure, cholesterol, bone density test, optometry, and general fitness. The campaign will also be organised at central post offices across the UAE.
Healthcare providers in the emirates will be on hand to provide the public with consultations on diabetes, nutrition, and the importance of physical activity.
Obaid AlQatami, Acting Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates Post Group, said that the campaign is part of its community responsibility that aims to raise the health awareness of the importance of early diabetes diagnosis, as EPG believes the importance of health and regular tests help in the discovery of diseases.
"We would encourage everyone to avail the opportunities provided at EPG head offices for early prevention of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, and raising health awareness in society." AlQatami added.
