Cairo - Qna

The Egyptian interior ministry has embarked on studying implementation of the resolution of the ruling military council to enact the emergency law. Interior Minister, Mansour Al Isawi had talks with officials of the ministry on the situation and working out controls of the law so that it only applies to lawlessness. Egypt''s Information Minister Osama Heikal said the government will apply the law "to ensure safety," after three people were killed outside Israel''s embassy in the Egyptian capital. In a televised address Heikal said: "Egypt affirms its total commitment to respecting international conventions, including the protection of all (diplomatic) missions,". The remarks come after Egyptian protesters stormed the Israeli embassy premises and tore down the flag from the building for the second time in less than a month. According to medical sources, three people were killed and more than 1,000 people, including 300 policemen, were injured in what was the most violent outburst of Egyptian people''s anger against Israel. Some 92 people have been arrested. Egyptian demonstrators gathered outside the Israeli embassy in Cairo after Friday Prayers calling for the expulsion of Israel''s ambassador.
