Egypt makes more tourist safety promises after Hurghada hotel
Cairo - Arab Today

The Foreign Ministry said that 18 European consuls accredited in Egypt started a two-day visit to the Red Sea city of Hurghada on Wednesday to stand on security measures taken to protect foreign tourists.

In a statement on Thursday, the foreign ministry said the EU diplomats will visit Hurghada Airport and several facilities that offer services to tourists in the governorate.

They are scheduled to meet Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdullah and the Red Sea security chief to get acquainted with security measures taken to effectively protect foreign holiday-makers in the governorate.

The visit is organized by the foreign ministry in coordination with the civil aviation, tourism and interior ministries and the Red Sea governorate.
