The overnight operation of the law enforcing agencies (LEAs) across the Karachi has so far resulted in the arrests of twelve suspects from whom arms were also recovered. However, the LEAs had to retreat after entering Lyari areas, after a violent protesting crowd came out on the streets, Pakistan’s (Geo TV) reported. Meanwhile, Micasa Centre operation by the Rangers has been completed, where six suspects were taken into custody and shifted to an unknown place during the search operation. Another six suspects were arrested from Orangi Town, Kati Pahari and its adjoining areas, while the LEAs search operation at Five Star Arcade, Sultan Complex near Civic Centre, Jumani Road and adjoining apartments located on the University Road was underway. Search operation was also conducted by the LEAs in the New Karachi areas, Khamiso Goth, Bashir Chowk etc. However heavy contingents of police and Rangers, which had entered Lyari last night for search operation, had to beat back soon, as a violent crowd came out on the streets strongly protesting, torching tyres and voicing slogans. Presently, the Rangers remain deployed around the Lyari area, but search operation conducted. The officials told that the search operation by the LEAs in the volatile areas would continue even today.
