Beirut - George Shahin

The “Central News Agency” has revealed that according to a report issued by a Lebanese court, one of the four wanted members of Hezbollah, accused of participating in the assassination of former Prime Minister, Rafik Hariri, and his companions, has been killed, while the other three suspects may be residing outside of Lebanon. The news agency quoted informed sources, which stated that the initial details of the death are the result of investigations and surveys undertaken by the centre for criminal investigations. The implementation of the notes included in the international report against the four suspects in the assassination of Rafik Hariri, led sources to believe that one of the suspects has been killed, and to be almost convinced that the rest of the wanted men are not present in Lebanon.  They asked for precise information about the arrivals and departures of some Lebanese citizens into Beirut, and demanded the list of arrivals and departures from the airport, as well as monitoring the comings and goings at border crossing points, in order to track the movements of the four wanted men, and other warrants issued by the report. The sources said that the criminal investigation had not completely abandoned the possibility that the wanted men might still be in Lebanon, despite the likelihood of their departure.  Secret raids continue to be carried out in some of the locations where they are suspected to be residing, with no Lebanese region made an exception. The sources did not ascertain whether or not the security forces will be able to complete the task entrusted to them within thirty days as of 30th June, but they expect that additional notes will be made in the report.
