A military source revealed that the Syrian government forces repulsed, on Saturday, a fierce attack of IS around the city of Deir Ezzour and killed 17 extremists from the organization in the vicinity of the cemetery and El Ma'amel area.
 
The source said that the government forces fought violent clashes with militants of IS organization, who attacked military points in the vicinity of Rashdiya neighborhood and the southern axis of the cemetery area, the airport and the 137 infantry battalion, where the clashes ended by repelling attacks after the killing and wounding of several elements of IS and the destruction of their weapons and equipment.

On Friday, Syrian regime forces destroyed seven fortified points, artillery and three vehicles to IS organization. The forces killed many militants at Abu Hassan point on the direction of Tharda-Maalem area in Deir Ezzour. Meanwhile, IS shelled Al-Jura and Al-Qusour neighborhoods with several mortar shells and missiles, causing damage to property without causing casualties among citizens.

In Daraa, the regime forces destroyed eight cars and headquarters of the leadership of IS and killed a number of them after bombing their positions.
