The International Institute for Peace Research, in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, announced the nomination of the most prominent activists on the Egyptian revolution,  Wael Ghoneim and Israa Abdul-Fattah equally with April 6th  movement, to win the Nobel Peace Prize for 2011. Wael Ghoneim is considered the “real admin” of ‘we are all Khaled Said’ page,  which called on Egyptian people to demonstrate on January 25th. Where the activist and blogger, Israa Abdel Fattah is one of the most prominent founders of April 6th movement, which had a major role in mobilizing the demonstrations during the former regime period. Wael Ghoneim, said: "I heard the news, and I believe that it’s the right of all Egyptians to received the Nobel Prize, I was one of many people who participated in the revolution. Thank you all for your kind messages.” He added in a speech published on his Twitter page: “I’m very happy with this nomination, but I will be even happier if we make Egypt proud and we all win the award.” A number of activists established a Facebook page under the name "together to support Wael Ghneim and the April 6th Youth movement to win the Nobel Prize.”  Israa Abdel Fattah, who is also a member of the Front party, said in a press statement that she is happy with the nomination, hoping that Egypt will win the prize especially after the revolution of 25 January. She said: “I’m hoping that Egypt will win the Prize, because it deserves it after all the suffering it went through for many years.” Israa Abdel Fattah, was born  in the city of Banha, in 1978. She is a member of the ‘Ghad’ Party, and she has participated along with many Egyptian youth in calling for the  strike on  April 6th 2008, to protest  "high prices and corruption", and she is one of the main founders of April 6th Youth movement. Esra was also arrested several times because of her political opposition to the former regime, most notably in 2008.  She was arrested on April 6th, 2008, she was accused of inciting riots, and was jailed until she was released on April 14th, 2008.  She was also arrested on January 15th 2010, when she was attending a funeral of one of the Nag Hammadi massacre’s victims. Wael Ghoneim, was born in Cairo on December 23rd, 1980.  He  is Google's Middle East and North Africa Marketing Manager. Ghoneim is considered to be one of the most prominent founders of the January 25th revolution He was named the ‘leader of the youth revolution” because of his prominent role in the revolution, but he called himself in an interview I’m “a keyboard activist” as he was the establisher of the page ‘we are all Khaled Said’ on Facebook, which was one of the main reasons of the revolution. Wael was arrested by the Egyptian authorities, two days after the outbreak of the revolution, and held for 12 days, but he said after his release on February 7th ,that: ‘ I’m not a hero, I was behind my computer, heroes are the ones who came down to the streets and were killed.” Wael was nominated for Kennedy Award for courage in March, and was also chosen by Time Magazine to be the first name in the ‘100 most influential people around the world’ list.
