Directed by Ridley Scott, the biblical epic drama Exodus: Gods and Kings, which tackles Moses' exodus from Egypt, is scheduled to hit US cinemas on December 2014 to coincide with the Christmas holidays.
The official trailer released on 8 July offers a first glimpse into the biblical story entwined in what the producers promise to be "state-of-the-art visual effects and 3D immersion”.
Shortly before the trailer release, the film poster was unveiled by 20th Century Fox.
The shooting of the movie began in October 2013 in Spain under the title Exodus, which was then changed to current Exodus: Gods and Kings. Additional shooting took place in the UK and the Canary Islands.
The screenplay is written by Billy Collage, Adam Cooper and Steven Zaillian, with the film starring Christian Bale as Moses, Aaron Paul as Joshua and Joel Edgerton as the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses.
