A UAE medical programme is providing treatment large numbers of Sudanese children suffering from heart disease, avoiding their separation from their families during long stays in foreign hospitals.
Hamad Mohamed Hameed Al Junaibi, the UAE ambassador in Sudan, praised Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for his vision and humanitarian interests in sponsoring the Nabadat medical campaign for the treatment of Sudanese children suffering from heart problems.
Ambassador Al Junaibi praised the team working on the Nabadat medical campaign, sponsored by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which provides life saving treatment for children suffering from congenital defects of the heart, in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority, through providing surgeries for Sudanese children suffering from heart defects.
Ambassador Al Junaibi spoke of the enormous suffering of the families of the patients, particularly when children have to travel abroad for treatment, and he referred to the campaign as a noble and priceless humanitarian act. He added that this type of initiatives will contribute to enforcing the ties of love and brotherhood between the peoples of Sudan and UAE.
Furthermore, the Ambassador said the moral advantages of the treatment of a large number of children within a few days are significant.
