In a tribute to the UAE martyrs, the UAE Embassy in Beirut is conducting a hearing loss screening programme and is also providing hearing aids to hearing-impaired displaced Syrians who were subjected to explosions during the Syrian conflict in the hillside town of Arsal in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.
Audiologists have implanted hearing devices to the affected people in the first group and will complete the humanitarian medical mission next week to cover more than 32 cases.
The medical mission, funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation, complements other humanitarian initiatives supervised by the embassy to alleviate the suffering of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon who had been experiencing difficult living conditions.
