In support of the Year of Giving, the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity Foundation will allocate 15 percent of its 2017 budget for the health sector, Executive Director Mona Mattar said.
''The foundation has provided new medical equipment for neurology and eye clinics in public hospitals in the emirate, which cost AED500,000,'' she revealed.
She stated that assistance to patients would continue throughout the year.
UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has declared 2017 as the Year of Giving to focus on three main pillars - creating a sense of community responsibility in the private sector, enhancing the spirit of volunteering and encouraging specialised volunteer programmes, and instilling loyalty and commitment in future generations to serve their country.
