Oman’s Ministry of Health has issued a notice advising the public in Musandam to seek care for all accidents and critical medical conditions at the emergency department of Khasab Hospital.
The Directorate General of Health Services in Musandam has asked the public to bring all urgent cases, including those caused by accidents, to the Khasab Hospital and not to the health centres in the area, as is happening now, explaining that the hospital was well equipped to deal with emergency cases, because it had advanced equipment and expertise.
The notice further said that the emergency department operated round-the-clock, seven days per week, and was the appropriate place for treating emergencies and serious medical conditions.
