Palestinian Authority Minister of Health Fathi Abu Moghli on Wednesday said that he will head a medical delegation on a humanitarian mission to the city of Benghazi in Libya, reports said. The delegation is to fly from Jordan to Libya in a gesture of support from the future Palestinian state, he told a news conference in Ramallah, according to Wafa, the official Palestinian Authority news agency. “The medical delegation represents the Palestinian support for the Libyan nation and leadership, and carries a humanitarian message of peace to Libya,” Abu Moghli was quoted as saying by Wafa. The delegation will remain in Libya in coordination with the Libyan National Transitional Council, which will facilitate the mission and locate work areas, according to the report. The team comprises of 40 doctors and lab technicians. Palestinians have vast experience with war trauma and injuries and will employ all their expertise to help the Libyans, he said.
