Kuwait attaches much attention to citizens' health and gives a top priority to the provision of advanced medical services to patients, a medical official said here on Saturday.
The remark was made by Chairman of the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialization (KIMS) Dr. Ibrahim Hadi in a keynote speech during the 2nd Kuwait North American Neurology Conference (KNANC) on behalf of the sponsor of the conference and Health Minister Ali Al-Obaidi.
The conference is centered on the way to cope with the latest development and advancement of diagnosis and treatment for different diseases of neurology, Hadi said, boasting that most Kuwaiti hospitals have now neurology departments.
The event highlights local, Arab and international researches and studies in diverse neurological diseases, and attracts a galaxy of consultant neurologists from different world countries, he added.
The conferees will discuss a host of aspects pertinent to botulinum toxin, epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular, neuro-infection, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-otology, and stroke, Hadi elaborated.
For his part, Chairman of Neurology Department at Ibn Sina Hospital Dr. Jasem Y Al-Hashel said proper preparations and arrangements for the conference have been made for more than a year.
Over 800 doctors have registered for attending the 2nd Kuwait North American Neurology Conference (KNANC) to get acquainted with the latest neurology advancement.
This conference is the largest of its type in the Middle East region in the field of neurology.
The KNANC program will offer impressive lectures in different fields of neurology. The program is designed to cover most common neurological aspects needed in daily practice. It's an extensive course in neurology over three days.
