Egypt tops world countries in hepatitis viruses treatment, said the secretary general of the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GACIC).
In statements to MENA correspondent in Berlin, Abdulaziz al Mikhlafi said Egypt has huge potentials for treating hepatitis C.
He urged the media to promote therapeutic tourism in Egypt and bring to limelight Egypt's pioneering role in hepatitis C treatment.
As for the chamber's role in promoting Egypt, Mikhlafi said the chamber links Arab and German economies.
He stressed that Egypt is the third Arab economic partner to Germany after the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
He noted that the recent visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Egypt opened new vistas of bilateral cooperation.
He added that Egypt has a promising future of strong economy.
The remarks were made on the fringe of the 10th Arab-German health forum that opened in Berlin on Wednesday.
