Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa today visited the policemen who were injured during the terror blast in Sitra on Tuesday, July 28.

The minister conveyed to them greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and their wishes of speedy recovery to them.

HM the King issued directives to provide the best medical care for the wounded policemen and complete their treatment abroad if necessary.

The kind Royal order is in line with HM King Hamad’s directives to take care of injured policemen, and follows a previous order to treat 35 wounded security personnel in the hospitals of developed countries.

The Interior Minister was informed by the relevant doctors about the health conditions of the injured.

Medical reports indicated the stability of their health conditions. While three of them have already left after receiving treatment, another will be discharged in the next few days. The condition of two policemen still requires more treatment, so they are provided with utmost care.

The Interior Minister extended sincere thanks and appreciation and expressed loyalty to HM the King for his kind humanitarian gesture which he described as a badge of honour and a source of pride for all the Public Security community in the kingdom.

The kind Royal gesture is in recognition of the security personnel’s dedication and sacrifices, he said, commending the unwavering efforts of the policemen to protect the nation.

The minister thanked the managements of the Military Hospital and the Royal Medical Services for their dedicated efforts to treat wounded policemen, as part of their commendable patriotic and professional duties.

The Interior Minister paid tribute to the citizens who donated blood for the injured policemen, a gesture that reflects their support for the security personnel, and appreciation of the sacrifices they make, he said.

The injured policemen voiced pride in HM the King’s kind gesture.

They also expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Interior Minister for the visit, constant follow-up and support, affirming their unwavering resolve to continue serving the nation and its leadership.
