Under the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Bahrain Merida Cycling Team organised a cycling trip in support of the activities and initiatives of the Bahrain Breast Cancer Society.
The tour, which was attended by a large group of participants from both genders, took place from the Westin Hotel, passing by the Bahrain City Center, before heading to Manama, the financial district, and back to the Hotel. The tour was rounded out with the distribution of valuable prizes including a two-day round trip to Europe in economy class as well as vouchers for the Westin Hotel to stay in, membership in a GYM, as well as Bahrain Merida GR.
The Bahrain Merida Cycling Team organised this tour in line with the goals set by for the launch of the Team, including contributing to charitable and humanitarian endeavors and seeking to benefit from sports in supporting charitable works.
The event is part of supporting the initiatives and social and humanitarian activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain and supporting the Breast Cancer Society in its mission to various sectors of the Bahraini society on cancer awareness and to provide a message of hope in life and the ability to overcome cancer with determination and optimism.
