Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)'s Management and Alba's Labour Union today announced a new Family Health Insurance package for all employees.
Effective January 1, 2015, the new package will be optional for the employees who are willing to insure their families and will part share the cost of the insurance.
Commenting on this announcement, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray said: "Alba owes its success to the employees and thanks them for their contribution towards the Company’s success. Employees’ well-being and safety has always been our number one priority, and we are pleased to announce the new benefits for the employees. The Management expresses thanks to Alba Board for appreciating the employees and the Alba Labour Union for their continuous support."
Further, the Summer Heat allowance scheme has been revised based on the working conditions and accordingly implemented for all eligible employees. Alba Management has also announced an upgrade to the existing Merit System to include safety in the performance criteria.
Expressing his gratitude, Alba Labour Union’s Chairman, Ali Al-Binali said: "We are truly thankful to the Alba Board and Executive Management for announcing Family Health Insurance for all employees as well as the new benefits. We thank them for their continuous support and appreciation of Alba employees, and we will endeavour to work hard towards strengthening Alba’s position as a leading aluminium producer in the world."
