Al-Sabah Hospital
Kuwait - KUNA

Al-Sabah Hospital will organize an awareness campaign on colorectal cancer on December 25 in the Avenues Mall amid an increasing number of people who suffer from this disease.
"Launching awareness campaigns is paramount if we seek prevention of chronic and dangerous diseases," Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr. Jamal Al-Harbi told KUNA, underlining that the ministry's keenness on reactivating awareness within its strategic plans to fight diseases.
He commended the campaign entitled "Yes for life, No for colorectal cancer", saying that the ministry would support that campaign to target a large number of people and help them be aware of that disease whose rates have increased in Kuwait in recent times. For her part, Head of Digestive System and Liver Unit at Sabah Health District Dr. Wafaa Al-Hashash underscored the necessity of awareness of preventing dangerous diseases from which the society suffers.
The event will include seminars and lectures on awareness and publications on colorectal cancer will be distributed, she said, noting that the ministry gives top priority to such awareness campaigns for the safety of citizens.
"The ministry is keen on providing ideal health care for them," she said.
The event is the fruit of strenuous efforts aimed at combating this malignant disease, she pointed out, affirming that the ministry harnesses all capabilities for the service of the people.
