With 32 branches in Riyadh, Al-Muhaidib Dental Clinics has been serving its patients for the past 25 years.
With the Kingdom-wide expansion of the clinics over the years, the total number of clinics has reached 50, Ayman Al-Houthi, the general manager, told Arab News.
With the addition of two new branches in Jeddah and one in Makkah and nearly 1200 staff members across Saudi Arabia, Al-Muhaidib has made a name in orthodontic services.
Announcing the opening of the Imam Saud branch, Ayman said Al-Muhaidib has the finest resources and equipment to treat the patients.
He said: “We are proud to say that we are one of the first clinics to be serving the downtrodden for free, and we don’t charge divorcees and orphans.”
Ayman recalled the first branch that started in Riyadh’s Al-Mansourah district 25 years ago with minimal staff.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hanan Fadil, a dental expert, has expressed her concern over increasing dental issues among youngsters. She advised children to brush their teeth twice a day and avoid letting anything retain on teeth after the meals.
Explaining the difference between invisalign and braces, she said: “Invisalign is easier and is an example of progress in orthodontics. The traditional metal braces have chances of retaining food particles, while the invisalign can be removed for cleaning the teeth and gums.”
She said the root canal treatment (RCT) needs a minimum of three sittings, “but in emergency cases, we do it in one go keeping in mind the condition of the patient.”
One sitting takes 40 minutes and, she said, if a person cannot afford the fee, his emergency treatment is done for free.
She said while a number of patients come for genuine dental reasons, there is also a growing number, especially women, who want to undergo aesthetic teeth transplants and replacements.
She added: “Hollywood smile has been trending these days. It is a complete makeover of one’s existing teeth. To get a ‘Hollywood smile’ one has to replace a few or a complete set of teeth with procera crowns. It is the replacement of one’s teeth with that of a beautiful set of click dentures.”
