About 400 participants are expected at the 2nd International Medical Oncology Days which will be held from 7 to 9 November at Mohamed Benahmed Convention Centre of Oran, said Monday the event’s organizers.
An initiative of the oncology service of Oran’s teaching hospital (CHUO), this meeting, held under the theme “Breast cancer locally advanced and metastatic,” will be an opportunity for national and international experts to focus on the progress made in various treatment methods of this pathology (chemotherapy, hormone therapy, biotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery), according to Pr Abdelkader Boushaba, chairman of these days.
This scientific meeting will also allow the participants to discuss their experiences, exchange knowledge and examine ways to improve the strategy of treating patients within the framework of multidisciplinary consultation, he added.
