The World Bank stands fully ready to contribute to establishing energy projects in Egypt, said World Bank's Lead Energy Specialist Erik Fernstrom.
The WB is ready to contribute to these projects through providing technical assistance or financing to establish energy projects in Egypt under the hybrid system, he added during his meeting Monday with Electricity and Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker on Monday to discuss aspects of cooperation.
Fernstrom, meanwhile, hailed efforts exerted by the electricity sector over the past period to overcome several challenges.
The WB attaches great importance to contributing to generating electricity projects from renewable energy resources, he added.
