Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development, attended a reception hosted by the Indian Consulate in Dubai last night to celebrate the 68th anniversary of India's Republic Day.
The reception was attended by Indian Consul-General Anurag Bhushan, Abdul Rahman Al Mutaiwee, Director of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Dubai, senior officials, businessmen, and members of the Indian community.
The Indian Consul-General praised his country's strong relations with the UAE and referred to the recent visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to India, during which the two countries signed 12 agreements and Memorandums of Understanding on co-operation in various fields.
He also highlighted the historic visit by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to India in 1976.
