Omar Saif Ghobash, the UAE Ambassador to the French Republic, has presented his letters of credence to President Emmanuel Macron of France at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
On this occasion, Omar Ghobash conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the French President, as well as their wishes of further progress and prosperity for France and its people.
President Macron conveyed his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and wished the UAE and its people further progress and development.
The French president welcomed the UAE Ambassador and wished him much success in his work to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing his country's readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate the duties of the ambassador to France.
Ghobash said that he will intently work toward strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, to revive and activate them in various fields, to tighten bonds of friendship between the two friendly peoples. He expressed his pride representing the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of France, which has friendly relations with the UAE in various fields.
During their encounter, the two sides reviewed areas of cooperation between the two nations and discussed ways of further enhancing cooperation and extending it to various fields.
The UAE Ambassador affirmed his determination to build on the achievements of the two countries in various fields to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
Omar Saif Ghobash served as UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation from 2008 to 2017. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation at King's College in London and was elected to the Board of Trustees of the UAE Diplomatic Academy in Abu Dhabi. Ambassador Ghobash began his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as a diplomat in the UAE Mission to the United Nations. He holds a Bachelor of Law from Balliol College of Oxford University and a BS in Mathematics from the University of London.
