Transport Minister and General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Chairman made an inspection tour of the new King Abdul-Aziz International Airport project in Jeddah.
This is to ensure that the project work is on course and progressing.
He visited the new air traffic control tower and load center one building designed to feed the passenger terminals with the needed electricity and air conditioning.
The visit was also conducted to verify workflow and the needed number of personnel are provided according to the plan presented by the project contractor to ensure that there are no obstructions that may affect the workflow.
The minister was accompanied by Bakr Binladen, general manager and chairman of the Binladen Group, Saleh Binladen and the consultant supervising of the project, Dar Ahandsa Engineering office, also present was Fouad Alsaleh, chairman of Saudi Projacs and a team from Saudi Projacs office all in an effort to follow the work progress of the project and ensure all is going according to plan.
The board of directors of GACA recently reviewed a report on the latest development for a number of GACA projects most importantly the development of the new King Abdul-Aziz International Airport project.
