Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Garcia will visit the Libyan capital on Thursday for talks with the Libyan Presidential Council led by Fayyez Sarraj, an official source told MENA.
Gracia will hold a press conference at the naval base in Tripoli after his meeting with Sarraj.
The visit comes after the ambassadors of France, Britain and Spain arrived in the capital Tripoli last week to reiterate the international community's support for the new, UN-brokered unity government.
They pledged to reopen embassies closed two years ago because of the fighting.
