Mogadishu - Arab Today

Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire has visited the UAE-funded military training centre in Mogadishu, which offers training to members of the Somali Armed Forces.

Upon his arrival, the Somali Prime Minister was received by Mohammed Ahmed Al Othman, UAE Ambassador to Somalia.

Khaire toured the centre's facilities and observed the UAE team supervising the training of Somali soldiers, expressing great admiration for the advanced level of training provided.

The Prime Minister - who was accompanied by several senior commanders of the armed forces - also conveyed his deep thanks and appreciation to the UAE for its outstanding role in supporting Somalia and for its continuous efforts in training and rebuilding the Somali Armed Forces.

The UAE Ambassador in turn expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Somali Prime Minister for his visit and his keenness to consolidate the distinguished relations between the two countries, reaffirming the UAE's support for the development of security and stability in Somalia.
