Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived here on Sunday on the first leg of his Gulf tour that will take him to Bahrain.
Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jabir welcomed the Egyptian president upon his arrival at Kuwait International Airport.
Sisi is scheduled to hold talks with Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jabir Al Sabah on means of buttressing bilateral relations along with consultation and coordination on a set of regional and international issues of common interest.
Following his visit to Kuwait, Sisi will head for Bahrain for talks with King Hamad Bin Essa Al Khalifa on promoting bilateral relations at all levels.
The talks will also tackle means of bringing closer Arab ranks so as to enhance the Arab world's ability to protect common interests and meet the aspirations of their people in addition to standing against any attempts for foreign interference in the internal Arab affairs.
Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi was received at the Airport by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali al Ghanim, Deputy Chief of the Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Meshal al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah along with a host of Kuwaiti officials.
President Sisi also held a session of talks with the Kuwaiti Emir at the Airport. Later, they headed for Al Bayan Palace, where they will start the official session of talks.
The Kuwaiti emir will host a luncheon in honor of President Sisi and his accompanying delegation.
President Sisi will further hold talks with a host of senior Kuwaiti officials.
