Musa'ab Al-Shaikh Saleh, the official spokesperson of the (Tech-No Disability) conference, stated that the scientific committee adopted (6) scientific research papers regarding sensory and motor empowerment to participate in the conference held in Bahrain during the period of (3 - 4 - 5) December 2017, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, and Honorary President of the Bahrain Sports Federation For Disabilities, in conjunction the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The conference is part of His Highness's humanitarian and scientific initiatives to provide care and support people with special needs in order to unleash their potential and encourage them towards integrating into society, and continuing their efforts and creativity in their respective fields.
The total number of papers participating in the conference is (21), divided into two fields. The first is scientific empowerment through (14) papers, and the second being sensory and motor empowerment through (6) papers, in addition to (1) paper in media.
In terms of subjects of research: (3) papers researched the autism spectrum, (2) papers researched educational difficulties, (1) paper for each of motor disability, hyper activity, deafness, cerebral palsy, in addition to (12) papers regarding disability in general.
The scientific committee adopted the research of: "Electronic Nose: the lack or weakness of the sense of smell in humans", presented by Dr. Yousif Al-Bastaki, Associate Professor at the University of Bahrain, in addition to other researches like "Impact of Supporting Technology: Cochlear Implants" by Dr. Yamina Bu Sabtah, Professor of Higher Education in Language and Communication Diseases, University of Algiers, in addition to others.
