Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan is set to pay an official visit to Tehran on Tuesday at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani.
The two leaders will hold talks on bilateral relations between the two countries and discuss both regional and international issues, said a statement by a Turkish Presidential Press Office on Saturday.
Erdogan will take part in the second meeting of the Turkish-Iranian Cooperation Council, it added, indicating that the first meeting of the council was held in 2009 in Ankara.
Erdogan will also meet with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, it noted.
The visit comes shortly after Iran and world powers reached a framework agreement over the Islamic Republic nuclear agreement.
