The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, has condemned suicide attacks in the eastern Afghan city of Gardes that killed at least 33 persons, including women, children and police, and injured 160 others.
According to a statement on the OIC website, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, Secretary-General of the organisation, offered his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, government and people of Afghanistan and wished for a quick recovery for the injured people.
Dr. Al-Othaimeen reiterated the OIC's solidarity with Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
