New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully will travel to China on Tuesday for talks on the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and trade.
The 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the launch of the New Zealand China Strategy for trade were two key subjects for discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi during the three-day visit, said a statement from McCully Monday.
"New Zealand was the first developed country to negotiate a free trade agreement with China, with our exports to China tripling since the agreement came into force in 2008," he said. McCully will also address students at the China Foreign Affairs University.
