Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, attended the UAE President's Cup endurance race, at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba yesterday.
Organised by the Emirates International Endurance Village at Al Wathba and with support from H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival, the 160-kilometre race was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
Emirati rider Mohammed Khalifa won the top position followed by rider Faris Suhail Ali Rashid Al Ghailani, while rider Saeed Ahmed Jaber came third. 158 riders took part in the race.
The first winner bagged Mercedes full option vehicle, the second won Ranger Rover, while the third went away with four wheel drive Nissan, in addition to Dh60, 000 each for those who completed the race.
