Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam will head for Qatar along with a ministerial delegation to discuss the release of the kidnapped Lebanese Army soldiers and policemen.
In statements to An Nahar Saturday, Salam said that there is an international, regional and Arab decision to step up efforts to support Lebanon in confronting terrorism.
Qatar became involved in the hostage crisis last week when it announced it would be carrying out negotiations between the Lebanese state and the extremist groups who kidnapped at least 30 soldiers and police officers during the clashes in Arsal last month.
The soldiers and policemen were abducted by Islamist militants from the northeastern border town of Arsal in light of clashes in the area between the army and the gunmen from Syria.
