Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit four U.S. cities during his eight-day official trip from April 26 and hold talks with U.S. President Barack Obama on April 28 at the White House, the Japanese and U.S. governments said Monday.
In the planned trip to Boston, Washington, San Francisco and Los Angeles, Abe will spend April 27 to 30 in the U.S. capital, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said at a press conference.
"Last April, we invited President Obama as a state guest. The following official visit to the United States by Prime Minister Abe, we believe, will be significant in showing the robustness of the Japan-U.S. alliance to the world," Suga said.
