Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Tehran for Paris on Tuesday to attend the 37th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Zarif is scheduled to deliver a speech at the event as a special guest, the state-run (IRNA) news agency reported. The Iranian foreign minster and his French counterpart Laurent Fabius will also discuss issues of mutual interest as well as the latest regional and international developments on the sidelines of the meeting. The 37th session of the General Conference of UNESCO is to open in Paris today and will be concluded on November 20.
