Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr is to embark on a visit to Spain later in the day to take part in the 28th Annual Session of Crans Montana Forum, scheduled from July 5 to 8, with the participation of around 600 figures, including current and former heads of state and government and presidents of major international companies.
The forum provides a unique opportunity to foster global cooperation between the new priority markets, China, Central Asia, Middle East, Africa and the Mediterranean and discover the future of our international economic environment as well as the new business and Investment opportunities.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Investment Ministry said Nasr is expected to meet with Jean-Paul Carteron, the Honorary Chairman and Founder Crans Montana Forum.
She will also confer with top officials in mega Spanish companies to expound investment opportunities in Egypt, especially in the New Suez Canal and the new Administrative Capital.
The minister is also expected to review steps taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment and business climate at a meeting in the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.
The ministry's statement also said the visit aims at luring more Spanish investments to Egypt in light of the distinguished relations binding the two countries, noting that the government was attaching special importance to the contribution of the private sector and foreign investors in the development process in Egypt.
Nasr's participation in the forum aims at encouraging cooperation between Egypt and participating countries in all economic fields, added the statement.
