His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister this afternoon visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi during a brief visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the visit, His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of preserving cultural and civilizational heritage, which represent the foundations of a modern, open society and contribute to development and progress.
His Royal Highness praised the UAE’s support for cultural development, highlighting the Louvre Abu Dhabi as a testament to the UAE’s commitment to encouraging dialogue between all cultures and peoples of the world.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince praised the depth of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, noting the extensive cooperation between the two countries across various areas.
His Royal Highness expressed his pride in seeing the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s offering, which holds a clear link between Arab cultural heritage and the museum’s unique architecture.
His Royal Highness added that the museum’s artefacts and art represent an important cross section of global thought, culture and expertise.
The Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, His Excellency Mohamed Al Mubarak, and a number of officials from the Louvre Abu Dhabi also attended the visit.
