His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's initiative to establish the "His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Chair for peaceful coexistence" at La Sapienza University of Rome has been lauded by the Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue (BFD).
The chair adds to a series of initiatives launched by HM the King and the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve peaceful co-existence and social security, as well as promote peace, love and tolerance, BFD said.
In a statement issued today, BFD said that the establishment of the "His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Chair for peaceful coexistence" coincides with the UN's celebration of the World Science Day for Peace and Development, which falls on November 10, and the International Day for Tolerance, observed worldwide on November 16, stressing that the move confirms Bahrain's contributions to international development and civilisational events.
BFD praised the speech delivered by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, while attending, on behalf of HM the King, the official signing ceremony for The Chair in the name of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at La Sapienza University Rome to teach dialogue, peace and inter-religious understanding.
BFD affirmed that investment in promoting noble values, principles and morals is the best means to build societies that are qualified for advancing and serving their nations.
