Putting aside the gruelling race to the White House, the defeated Democrat nominee will be present on Capitol Hill in Washington with husband and ex-president Bill Clinton.
It comes after George W Bush and former first lady Laura Bush confirmed they will be at the swearing-in ceremony, despite the former president’s coldness to the prospect of Trump as Commander-in-Chief during the campaign.
"They are pleased to be able to witness the peaceful transfer of power - a hallmark of American democracy - and swearing-in of President Trump and Vice President Pence", a Bush spokesperson told the Dallas Morning News
