Heads of Red Crescent Societies in the Gulf Cooperation Council member states are to meet on Wednesday to discuss the humanitarian situation in the Governorate of Aleppo, Syria.
The consultative meeting in Kuwait will discuss a number of issues related to the humanitarian crisis in Aleppo, to unify efforts and stances of GCC Red Crescent authorities and societies towards the humanitarian crisis in Aleppo. It will also review ways to coordinate aid for those affected by the crisis to redouble efforts to provide assistance for them.
They will also discuss ways to unify media efforts and adoption of a joint humanitarian project for the benefit of communities affected by the crisis. The meeting comes in response to the requirements of the current stage and aims at taking urgent action to provide assistance to the needy in the Governorate of Aleppo.
