Egyptian Ambassador to China Ossama el Magdoub handed over his credentials to Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday in the Chinese capital Beijing.
The Chinese leader was keen during his meeting with the Egyptian diplomat on stressing profound relations binding the two countries and highlighted cooperation and coordination with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The Chinese president stressed the importance of implementing what had been agreed upon with President Sisi on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in September and also highlighted the promotion of relations to the comprehensive strategic partnership level in 2014.
For his part, the Egyptian diplomat pointed out to President Sisi's directives to promote relations with China in various domains and Egypt's support to the "One China" principle and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
Magdoub was the assistant foreign minister for neighborhood affairs and Egypt's ambassador in Sweden and also worked in Egypt's missions in India, Venezuela, South Korea and Belgium.
