Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Rhodes island on Monday to take part in the opening session of a conference on security and stability.
In press statements, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abul Zeid said the conference is being held for the second year in a row at a Greek initiative to address challenges facing eastern Mediterranean area.
A number of Mediterranean foreign ministers or their representatives will take part in the conference.
The conference will hold three sessions on joint challenges, education, culture and environment in addition to security and stability.
Shoukry will address the conference on the Egyptian vision in handling challenges and crises facing the region.
Shoukry will hold talks with a number of participating foreign ministers on the sidelines of the conference.
