Secretary of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD), affiliated to the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Hazem Fahmi wrapped up his official visit to Togo, said Egyptian Ambassador in Lomé Karim Sherif.
During his visit, Fahmi had a meeting with Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe, during which he conveyed the Egyptian political leadership's greetings on the advent of the New Year.
He also posted the Togolese side on programs carried out by the EAPD to provide training to the Togolese side from 2014 to 2016, as well as available courses to boost cooperation in the capacity-building field.
They also reviewed efforts exerted by the agency to foster cooperation between the Suez Canal Economic Zone and Lome port in the maritime transport, containers and cargo fields.
For his part, the Togolese president expressed his satisfaction with the distinguished Egyptian-Togolese ties in the various domains and appreciation of assistance offered by the agency in the fields of diplomacy, health, agriculture, water irrigation and planning.
During his stay in Lome, Fahmi had talks with the secretaries of the Togolese technical ministries to discuss fields of cooperation and developing the training programs for 2017.
