Cote d'Ivoire President Alassane Ouattara on Tuesday appointed former prime minister Daniel Kablan Duncan as vice president.
During a speech at the National Assembly, the president asked the deputies to support Duncan in the exercise of his new function.
Duncan will be the first vice president of Cote d'Ivoire following the institutional reforms under the new Constitution.
