Minister of Social Affairs, Pierre Bou Assi, continued his US tour, arriving in Washington after having attended the North American District Conference for the Lebanese Forces held in Houston this year.
The Minister is set to hold a series of meetings today. The Middle East program at the Woodrow Wilson Center for Research in Washington will hold a special seminar with Bou Assi on Wednesday afternoon, tackling the issue of Syrian displacement and the challenges it poses on Lebanon in all respects, especially in terms of economy and infrastructure.
On the same evening, the Lebanese Embassy in Washington will hold an official reception in honor of a number of ministers participating in the meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, including Minister Bou Assi.
After Washington, the Minister of Social Affairs will travel to New York for where he will hold a series of meetings with top officials at United Nations Headquarters
