US Vice President Joe Biden on Monday denounced presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's proposed foreign policy, saying that it could cause "anti-American", especially in Latin America.
In his speech at the Center for New American Security, Biden said "Wielding the politics of fear and intolerance, like proposals to ban Muslims from entering the United States or slandering entire religious communities as complicit in terrorism, calls into question America's status." Joe Biden predicts that threatening to build a wall between the United States and Mexico, insulting immigrants, and a policy of increasing isolationism could lead to "a return of anti-Americanism and a corrosive rift throughout our hemisphere." Last week, US President Barack Obama denounced Trump for his remarks in the aftermath of the shooting massacre in Orlando, warning that Trump was peddling a "dangerous" mind-set that recalled the darkest and most shameful periods in American history.
Obama also criticised Trump's proposed ban on admitting Muslims into the United States. Obama said in a speech that the United States is not against Muslims, adding that is "not the America we want."
