Former General-Secretary of the Arab League Amr Moussa arrived in Beirut Tuesday on a three-day visit upon an invitation from Lebanon Minister of Transport and Public Works Ghazi al-Aridi. During his visit, Moussa will take part in a seminar at the Lebanese-French University of technology and Applied Sciences on Wednesday. The former Egyptian diplomat and Leader of the Egyptian Congress Party was received by al-Aridi and Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon Ashraf Hamdy. Moussa will also take part in the 21st annual Arab Economic Forum (AEF), which is expected to focus on the impact of "Arab Spring" on economic stability and development in the Arab World. In the context of political situation in the region, Moussa said that the region lives in a very difficult stage describing the situation as dangerous. Asked about the Arab League response to Israeli attacks against Syria, Moussa said that the crisis in Syria is complicated, reiterating that the pan-Arab body will respond soon. On the political situation in Egypt, he said that opposition's views and positions stem from commitment and concerns over the Egyptian future.
