Kuwait - Arabstoday

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace here yesterday several foreign ambassadors to Kuwait, who presented a commemorative gift to HH on the occasion of the country's national celebrations and five years since HH assumed power. HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Khalid Al-Jarallah, the ministry's protocol chief Dhari Al-Ajran and Senegalese Ambassador and dean of the diplomatic corps in Kuwait Abdelahad Imbaki were also present in the meeting. HH the Amir thanked the ambassadors for this good gesture, which he said embodied strong and firm friendly relations between Kuwait and their countries, asking them to convey his greetings to their countries' leaders. Speaking at the reception, which was also attended by Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah and several other state officials, Ambassador Imbaki expressed heartfelt congratulations to HH the Amir on Kuwait's 50th Independence Day, 20th Liberation Day and five years since HH the Amir assumed power. He also hailed HH the Amir's achievements throughout his career; particularly great efforts for promoting and reinforcing relations between the State of Kuwait and the entire world, and healing up rifts in several areas worldwide through his diplomatic-sensed dedication. He then presented two commemorative shields as an expression of appreciation and respect. He also congratulated HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for five years since becoming crown prince, and HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for gaining HH the Amir's renewed confidence.
