Algerian singer Noura died Sunday at the age of 72 in a hospital in Paris after a long illness, the deceased’ friends told APS.
The singer of "Ya Ness Amahou," wife of musician and composer Kamel Hamadi, was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition, according to the source.
Noura, whose real name is Fatima Zohra Badji, was the first Maghreb singer who won a golden disk in the beginning of the 1970’s.
An artistic evening was organized in March 2012 in Algiers in the honour of the artist who possesses more than 500 songs in Arabic, Tamazight and French.
